Dan Scott and his crew from the USCSA (US Collegiate Ski Assn. www.uscsa.com)successfully executed timing and display services under wet and rainy conditions at Waterville valley NH. The national nordic championships had never been timed electronically before. Dan and the guys went right to the top with an ALGE TDC 8000 based system rented from PST. Fred Patton and the PST staff provided a 6 hour training session including setting up all of the gear inside the convention center. Simulated racers ran around the center while Dan timed them. Positive reports from all concerned as the ALGE equipment performed well in very adverse conditions. The nordic events kept getting shifted as changing snow (ice) persisted throughout the week. Congrats to Dan and his crew for picking up the techniques so quickly. A tribute to the intelligent and intuitive design of the TDC 8000 and ALGE system approach.

Equipment used: Tdc 8000 timer, TDc 4000 timer, TIMY, S4, ASC1 start clock, Q34 headsets, RLS1n/d through beam photocells, STSM2s start gates, PST 15cm displays

Skip Ravell gathered data from the TDc 8000 online using COM to File and dumped it into his excel file for results.

Alpine races used PST 25cm displays with the Split Second software.

Team standings and reports were generated by Toby from WPI using a really neat excel program he authored. I hope to see more from this talented fellow.

Thanks to Mark and Judy Sullivan for organizing the event and allowing PST to participate. Also a special thanks to Loon Mt. Ski Team and Bob Levine for loaning them their Tdc4000.
