Radio Shack (believe it or not!) has some nifty accessories for your TIMY.

The Coleman Powermate 12v battery stick is part 270-4121 and sells for $30.00. It charges by plugging it into the car while driving or by using the Radio Shack 110-12v adapter. This adapter is part 22-501 and runs about $15.00.

The final item is the 12v to TIMY cable. Part 270-1533 is $6.00 and should be in your kit regardless.

As nifty as this may seem to be, please read the following information before using, or at least using attached to your timer while timing, your car running or using the optional 110 volt adapter.

The concept is to power the TIMY with the battery stick directly when doing TOD timing at the start or training on the hill. Otherwise you would use the ALGE NLG13A, NLG13, or new PS12A power supply.

Fred,
I understood the concept and didn't mean to mock it, as might have seen to have been the case. The picture I had in my head, was of some one taking the set-up you described, and sitting in a cat, with the cat running, with the Coleman Powermat pluged into the Cigarette lighter of the cat. Or, worse yet, plugging the Timy in to AC as described above.
