I am seeking information about the advantages and disadvantages of the following systems and their related software:
Finishlynx etherlynx
Alge Optic
Omega Scan O'Vision

My primary objective is to replace an older Accutrack photo finish system used for a horse racing application.

But to be able to pay for a new system, this new system will need to be used for other events where applicable. Ski Races, cycling events, equestrian match races, track meets, etc.

I see there are seperate forums for both the Finishlynx and Alge systems but not the Omega system.

I have seen from the particpant end of Finsihlynx products, but have not used their basic software.

I would especially like info about tech support.

This is the perfect place to discuss this.

The major thing that I would check is the support structure. All of the manufacturers have representatives in major countries. They vary by their technical expertise. Make sure that the manufacturers rep in your country knows and uses the system. That makes ALL the difference.
