What are the correct dip switch settings when using a single cable from the printer port to the Seiko 411. We now use a 3 way cable between computer, Seiko printer and S4 timer ( using the 232 port) and it prints fine.

The SEIKO DPU411 printer is out of production. It has been replaced by the DPU414. The 411 has "dip" switches to change functions. Turn the unit over and orient it so that the label is on the left and the switches are on the right. ON is located away from you and OFF towards you. There is only one switch that changes between the S4 (8 stop bits) and the S3 (7 stop bits)It is switch 1 on the second (right) bank of 6 switches. ON =S4, OFF=S3

Settings for ALGE timers 2400 baud output

Switch bank 1

1=off

2=on

3=on (40 col) off= (80 col)

4=0n

5=on

6=off

7=on

8=on

second bank

1=ON (S4) OFF=(S3)

2=on

3=on

4=off

5=on

6=off

Parts are still availble for the DPU411. It uses the same printer mechanism as the DPU414. $100.00
