We recently repaired a SEIKO DPU 414 printer that would not print properly. The print head was jamming and the printouts were getting skewed to the right. The top cover and cutter had warped and was pressing down on the printer mechanism below. We suspect it was caused by the 414 being left in the sun for a prolonged period and the top warped. Heating the cover up with a heat gun solved the problem but left the top cover discolored.
