Ok, I couldn't bear to pay over 800 clams for a T-H printer and got the seiko, seemed easyenough with an example in the ptb manual.
BUT---She no worky.Got a seriel cable configured properly for the 414
and I did the dip switches as the manual suggested for the 411. Anyone out there allready been down this road?

I'm bad.
Well not that bad, I re-read the manual and did the turn off, turn on the printer trick, and it is wonderful now.

Can you provide add'l info on interfacing PTB605 & Seiko 414, ie. cabe configuartion and any seeting s for both devices?

You can get the cable pin outs on the Tag Heuer website if necessary. Once you worked out the settings for dip switches, it works like a charm as long as you remember that when you turn on the PTB it sends a graphic logo to the printer port and if you get garbage printed on the tape shut the printer off and restart it. ACtually if you make sure to turn the Seiko printer on after you turn on the PTB you won't have a problem.
