If you are in the Durango CO area check out this adventure race. Its a 4 person team relay with a 7-mile trail run, Two stage para-glider flight, 27 mile class IV/V kayak, and a 27 mile MTB ride. Finish line is at Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory) and the course lays out from Silverton to Rockwood and back to the ski area. More info http://www.redbulldivideandconquer.com
