Always a "classic" race. Another example of why transponders are not totally useful.

Zabel counted his chickens before they hatched. But Mr. DeAngelis' fotofeeneesh cameras do not lie.

Reminiscent of Bjorn Wirdheim's bonehead move at last year's Formula 3000 race in Monaco. After blowing everybody's doors off for the whole race, Wirdheim slowed to a walking pace just short of the flagstand at the end of the final lap to exchange high-fives with his pit crew. In the midst of the celebration, Nicholas Kiesa roared by at 240 kmh and took the checkered flag.
