Timing Guys,

This is an unusual request, and one I normally wouldn't do except it's such a good cause...

Normally I'm on the less sweaty side of events, but this time I'm competing and need some help.

June 1st I'm riding 50k in a Tour de Cure event to help raise money for the American Diabetes Association. The thing that's a little different is that I'm going to do it on a unicycle! (It's a good cause so why not make it challenging)

I'm just getting started with the fund raising part, and need all the help I can get. So, if you feel like helping . . that would be awesome...

(check out the photo of me riding my 36 inch unicycle on that page!)

Thanks in advance,

Nice Uni!
We'll be cheering you on!

Will the ride be available live on live-timing?
Jenna

Jenna,

The unicycle has a 36 inch wheel, a small handlebar, a brake (used very carefully as you might imagine) and even a water bottle cage. I can ride about 12 or 13 miles an hour on the flat. Hills are fine unless they get steep and then get really difficult in a hurry since I can't change gear.

And, sorry, no, the event won't be on Live-Timing. I don't think it's timed at all? They have feed stops along the way which I'm sure I'll be making use of...
