We are coming to grips with our fantastic new system at the ILT Velodrome in Invercargill, New Zealand and would appreciate any assistance available with some problems we are having, mainly through inexperience of our operators.

Next month we are hosting the NZ Champs and are planning to move the equipment to track centre for the first time. Are there any likely problems to overcome with this move?

We are not sure how to start the pursuits at a qualifying round and proceed direct to a final. Another problem with pursuits is the passing procedure where we are having problems with the switching.

Also uncertain about the Sprint qualifying procedure, as we have it under time trials which appears to work OK.

Any practical solutions or advice would be of great assistance to this computer dummy in the deep south.

There is no problem to work in the center but the thing is that you can not see enough from there, the best place to work is in between the finish line and the home pursuit line, why you will ask? Because:

Pursuit: the best seeding riders always start from the home pursuit line.

Sprints: You will be in the right angle to see the finish for the photofinish.

Points Races: You will be able to see and probably call the sprints with out seeing the photofinish image and the results operator can do a faster job, it is important to have the photofinsh image to compare the results.

Sprints Qualifying: You have to do the qualifying in the Time Trial, and then in Sprint X you have to build the rounds and put the riders manualy, that is not an automatic procedure because there are a lot of diferent formulas to give the riders another chance to do more than 1 race in the sprint not like in the UCI rule that the first round the non winners are out of the competition. So that formula the national comisaires will have to give it to you and you have to built it on the Sprint X option.

Pursuit: Also, Qualifying round under time trial and Semis or Final for 3th-4th place or Final you have to put manualy into the pursuit menu.
