How do you disqualify a competitor in the BackUp program?

In the same BackUp program -
How do you get rid of an impoper time? i.e a competitor trips the photo cell twice with both legs or some triggers the photo cell by mistake.

There is none but it is not really needed as you cannot print rankings, only the memory, while using backup. For getting too many impulses from one finisher try changing the delay settings under
Channels-Internal from the main menu. You might also look at the stopwatch light program as it does net times, rankings and has dsq and other options. Timy manuals are available online in pdf form from phoenix-sports.com and will detail all program functions.

You can also use the up and down arrows to place the "bad" time at the bottom of the screen. Press the STN key (F1) The number associated with the time blinks. Type in 9999 or something easy to see that is out of range. Press OK to accept. The press TIME (F2) the time blinks. Type in 23:59:00 or something high and out of range. Press OK to accept. The time will now be out of range of any rankings and will be easy to spot.

You can print out the Time of Day splits in time order by:

Classment
All
Print Memory
Start

95% of TIMY users running Split Second or other software use the Backup program. The default delay settings in the various softwares usually block out the extra pulses. You may have to experiment as John points out to find the ideal settings.
