Hi,

What's the best way to setup multiple timys with just a single tape switch?

I'd like to run a backup timy for a bike race, but only have a single set of contacts on the track in use.

Is it ok to connect a single tape switch to the input channels on both timy units? Or do you need to use a switch replicator/buffer?

Any info greatly appreciated.

You can parallel the tapeswitch into both TIMYs without a problem. The tapeswitch is normally open and there is no voltage involved.

Of course failure of the one switch will cause both TIMYs to have a bad channel that will have to be corrected.

Are you using an ALGE TSW1 tapeswitch control box between the switches and the TIMY?
