You may have some issues updating the timy via usb. try taking the batteries out and toggling power with the power supply.

There is really NO reason to update the TIMY if you are using it with Split Second as a time base with the Backup program.

If you do update it make sure you change the precision back to 10000ths as the update will dumb it down to 100ths
