I'm new at using the timy and I want to run one racer and then start another racer before the first one finishes. when I add the second bib no. and start him , that no. goes in the finish. Is there away to keep the first no. in the finish until he crosses the finish line and then have the second no. come up? And so on for the rest of the race? We aren't using software.

The STN-AUTOMATIC feature allows control over how the clock loads the start and finish queues. It sounds like you have the FINISH set to START which puts your last start into the finish even if you have someone on course. Set FINISH to FINISH and the oldest racer on course will remain in the queue until they finish. Play with this to get used to how it reacts to DNFs, pass and other situations.
