We recently had a situation where the TIMY that was being used had been set to Hundredths precision and not ten thousandths. There were several ties that needed to be broken and a record time that needed to be documented.

The TIMY raw time tape only had 100ths printing due to the error in setup.

We then were able to use the "print memory" feature to retrieve the times to the ten thousandths. They were then matched up with the timer log from the PC and everyone was satisfied that the times were all correct.

The TIMY precision was then changed to 10000ths and the event continued.

The times are also presented on the screen of the TIMY to the ten thousandths as well.

Always make sure that the TIMY is set to 10000ths when using it as a time base.
