I've been fortunate enough to have one of the new Alge RTMN boards to use at Craigleith. This allows us to display rank, name, time and even some other info all on one display board.

And, these things are so bright, you can see them with the sun beaming down on it.

So far, I've used with with DTRIS (in DOS mode), DTRIS Windows should support it by the end of this week. In fact, you can drive it with just a Timy if you like by preloading the names into the board, and then sending just the bib number and time to the display.

We just finished a paralympics here at Craigleith and used just the timy feeding the paralympics special software (which computes the corrected times) and had that feeding the RTMN board on a pair of 9600 baud wires.

Split Second Software will also drive the board directly so no need to pre-load the names to the board. The newest version is less than a week old:
