The 2002 edition of this race went off without incident. PST installed timing and scoring in donated motorhome at the finish line. We used hard wire connection to the start for both ALGE STSA2S starts and Q34/Sv4 commo, Channel 0 for red start, channel 3 for blue. Finish line photocells were RLS1n/d rx units. We used the RX cells on "Adjust" as transmitters and the RX units on "race" for receivers. The RED cell was connected with a RED stop cable to the TED transmitter and the BLUE cell was connected with a GREEN start cable. The photocells and the TEd transmitter were all wired into a jumper box that plugged into the Mitey Mite 12v battery pack. Each Finish line had a GAZ display with TED rx receiver on Program 6. The RX receivers were wired to the GAz and drew power from them. The TED receiver for the finish line was used on the normal program 0 and was connected using a standard 004 cable to the "C" input of the S4. This yielded the Channel 7 for RED and Channel 6 for Blue finishes. The Ted Transmitter for the data to the displays was connected to the Com 4 port of the PC running "fiddleware" The TED had a connection to a power supply as it was running on Program 6 , full on data. No missed impulses or data hiccups were reported in all 5 hours of operation. The potential of having one impulse swallowed up by the other at the finish line never occured. It would have been possible to drag the smae time onto both courses if it had. Thanks alot to the great race crew at Mt. Cranmore: Doug, Dennis,and Ray!

All right, someone else is addicted to using all the wireless power in non-FIS races! Glad it all went smooth. With all the use of wireless, plenty of prep time is always great to make sure everything is working in great condition. Remember that the displays work best in the wireless mode in Broder Applications!
