The ALGE S3 timer is still a very good and useful device. FIS homologation (ALG.004.97) and the ability to send times to the Split Second and Skunkware software make it an ideal time base. The S3 can be used either in net (split) or time of day (hour print) mode. It comes in a standard single course or 8k multilane version. The S3 went out of production in 1992 but there are still parts available and we maintain several units on hand at all times. All reconditioned systems come with one year warranty

The S3 normally uses 6 "D" cell alkaline batteries. Indoor customers use the Seiko DPU 411 or 414 printer with its own power supply. Outdoor or rough weather customers use the P3 or P4 printer. Use of the P3 requires the external NLG13 or NLG8 power supply and Nicad batteries. The S3 has a built in headset amp, display board/computer output, and either banana plug or din plug finish input. The S3 and P3 were originally silver and changed to black in 1988.

Phoenix Sports has a wonderful associate company in Canada called Precision Timing. Mike Mullins can assist you with putting together a system. We have a good supply of reconditioned (we never sell used!) equipment that we can send to them if needed. They have been selling gear in Canada since 1984 and should have a good stock.
