Can someone give me a recommendation for start and finish delay times for my S-4 timer. I am using program 3. I have been using the factory settings and the delay for start/ finish is too long. I would just like to know what setting others find works well. I am just running recreational races.

The S4 delay settings in Program 3 are universal. Therefore the df or "delay finish" setting applies to all of the channels. In general the delay settings are the same layout as the time. 0.10 would be a delay of a 10th of a second. The beep of the S4 stays on for the duration of the delay. Use the yellow button to increment the fractions of seconds, the red buttons whole seconds. Check the S4 manual for more info. There is a way to create really long delays by pressing the toggle switch up as well when in this mode.
