we are having problems with our tag heuer. when we connect it to the timing circuit it goes wild, putting in number after number, like we are getting starts. I assume the timing circuit has moisture in it or a short. When we used the timy it works fine. I think the tag might be alittle more sensitive? There is no way we can repair the lines in the winter, can I put a choke or a resistor on the circuit to make it work for now? Thanks!

You can try to put a optoisolator such as a Timing Guys "blinky box" in the line between the sensors and the TAG timer. Tag timers are very sensitive to these conditions and almost always end up having to use such a device. TAG makes the Hl-553 to handle this very common occurrence. The fact that the TIMY works fine is also common in similar circumstances. You could buy another TIMY which will be an overall improvement in the long run as well and not have to bother with extra adapters.
