The ALGE S3 is a FIS homologated timer (ALG.004.97) that is ideal for using with Split Second software. It can also be uses as a stand alone timer for non FIS/USSA races. You have the choice of either net or time of day timing. The S3 has a companion printer called the P3 or P4 that uses the silver electrostatic paper and an external power supply with nicads. You can also use a Seiko DPU 414 with alkalines in the S3. The S3 went out of production in 1992 but we still have several "parts" machines. This timer should be useful for another 5 years. Many customers have found them to be very useful as start and finish hand timing devices. Sync them with the rest of the system and then use an external button to record starts and finishes.
