The S3 timer was first produced in 1981. Many of these timers are still in use all over the world. In December of 1998 the ALGE factory issued a service bulletin that detailed the fact that parts for S3 timers were no longer available. S3 timers that have suffered battery leaks are almost always rejected for service. Phoenix Sports is doing our best to keep S3 timers going by buying up older ones for parts. At some point in time though, your S3 timer should be replaced with a modern S4 or Tdc 8000. We are sure that you will agree that the cost of ownership of an ALGE timer is much lower than almost any other product you have ever used. We appreciate your continued loyalty.
