No.
Or rather, not yet. Homologation of FIS approved timers must happen before the October deadline. Neither the TAG CP520 or the ALGE Timy existed this past October and therefore were not issued a CODEX #. Both ALGE and TAG are working hard to submit their units to the lab for testing. We contacted both companies this morning for an update. TAG-Heuer is resubmitting the CP520 for testing after some issues with cold weather operation appeared. The ALGE Timy has not been submitted yet as they have not completed their own lab tests. Rest assured, both timers will meet all requirements and will be legal for the 2001-2002 ski season. In the mean time, Phoenix Sports is offering several options where you can lock in the purchase of an ALGE Timy and be provided with a loaner COMET or S4 until yours is shipped. We also have TAG 705 and PTB 605 units if you prefer. Originally posted 19 Dec 2000 by Jim Karnes timingguys@aol.com |

It is always better to check with the FIS list before your event.
http://internal.ussa.org/aps/public/fistime.htm Note: This list is from 1999. There were no timers submitted this past summer that passed. The TIME TECH Ski Pro 3000 did not pass and is not on the list. |
