Does anybody have any knowledge of the Omega Start Time I? We are using this at our local swimming club. Last week it developed a fault - The unit no longer emits a start beep or pulse?
Also if anybody has a spare unit they would like to offload let me know. |

Hi there,
I suggest that you get the unit back to the local Swiss Timing dealer in the UK to be checked out. They should be able to help with a loaner whilst it is being checked out. Having had some experience with this unit, the fault could be a faulty switch on the hand controller, faulty connector from the handpiece to the unit, or a faulty card within the unit. Does the speech button work? If so, one other possibility could be that the loop from the ARES/OSM6 timer is not conneted in properly with the unit - the StartTime can be programmed so that the signal only activates if the proper connection exists with the timer. This can be switched off by deactivating the appropriate dip switch. Sorry to be so vague, but I hope this helps in some way. Regards, George. |
