The Tdc 8000 or (8000 plus) can be used to transmit Time of Day splits with channel ID to software. The timer will also log these splits on the printer. There is a limit of 10,000 splits though. We are timing Luge and Bobsleigh here at the Winter Goodwill Games in Lake Placid. There are more splits being generated on a daily basis than a ski race. Up shot is that one of our timers stopped transmitting times towards the end of the the day. Fortunatley it was the backup. We noticed that the printer started running slower and slower just before the lockup happened. The Info display blinked with an error message too, but only to tell us the obvious. Resyncing between runs has solved the problem.
