Hi I'am looking for a box which is able to receive an impulse from 6 photo-eyes and send via Tcp/ip (or rs) a message to a computer wihout Timing( it's for positioning not for timing). I just need a simple protocol with the cell's id. This is the software which will analyse the impulsions and start differents process. (by exemple start a countdown). I hope you understand what I mean. ThanksThis message has been edited. Last edited by: BUD,

A Moxa nPort will accomplish this. You can program the Moxa, via a browser, to take serial data and relay it to a server via TCP. You will need: 6 pairs photocells time base (Timy or S4) breakout box serial cable Moxa connection to WAN or LAN

Thank you for your answer This solution is expensive because of the time base. I just need to know that someone go through a photocell and which one. I don't care if there is a delay of 1sec. This application will be use to start an action; By exemple an horse go through the cell number 4, my application display on a giant screen "ready to go".
