I am looking for headset communication suggestions for up to 6-8 headsets on single communication pair (~22 awg). I do not want a solution that requires the headset to be inserted in series which implies breaking the existing pair to insert the headset. I am looking for something that will attach in a parallel fashion. A full duplex, non-PTT (push to talk) solution is mandatory for at least some of the headsets. Yes, it needs to be usable outside on the hill. While I have used David Clark voice-powered head sets in the past, volume levels are unacceptably low with multiple headsets. Wire run is less than 2000 ft.

Suggestions?

ALGE SV4 amplifiers with matching HS series headsets will provide you with the kind oif performance you are looking for. Each SV4 amplifier has 2 parallel banana plug sockets to allow easy connection to hill wiring. Adjustable volume, mute switch, and simple on/off concept.

22 gauge wire will work well in this application at the distance you describe.
Looks like a little bidding war going on here...

I have, and use, both the Alge and Microgate units and both perform well. Upside to the Microgate is the use of AA batteries and the more weatherproff nature of their amp. The Alge is slightly larger and uses a 9v battery. It is less weather proof and if water gets into the DIN connector it can squeal like a pig.

Upside for the ALGE is the DIN connector is easier to source and repair than the Microgates' Hirose connector and the overall volume of the Alge is greater if you operate in a noisy environment.

I have dealt with both dealers that are offering the equipment and both are excellent.
