There are several options for you. You can, without any purchase of equipment or software, import or input times into Split Second and produce results. Split second Club software can be downloaded for free from www.splitsecond.com. The best is to purchase a license and time with the program but you can use it for free as described above. To import the times you should download and install the Alge 'Com to File' program (program download available on the Alge website) to download the times, from the Timy, and save them as a CSV for import into Split Second. Typing times into Split Second will work also. The other option is to just use excel and Com to File to produce results but Split second will do better for reports, especially for multiple runs (combined, best, etc.). If you have a chance try to visit with someone who has a current license and you will most likely be sold on using the software to time with, it is that good! Your Alge/Timy distributor should be able to help you with this should you have trouble with the process.
In general Split Second is the best answer for software in North America. The Club Unleashed version in particular is extremely flexible.

Where are you writing from? There may be a Split Second user nearby to get a brief demo from.

Otherwise just download the software and use it for 2 minutes at a time to get a feel for it.

We have several helpful sheets on interfacing TIMY2 with software as well
