Is anyone familiar with Microgate's Racetime 2? Our ski race club just bought this wireless system and we're looking for info on how to operate the ski racing mode. Unfortunately, we're not having much success working w/ the vendor so far. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Kurt

Are you trying to use the timer in "stand alone" mode or in conjunction with Split Second Software?

FKP -- Thx for the quick reply. Both.

First, I'm just trying to understand how to operate the "Alpine race" mode or what ever the call it. I can operate it in "simple stopwatch" and some of "alpine training" but not race mode.

I'm plan to use it with splitsecond, and I got some data from the test mode but not sure if I have that config'd right.

Any help U can offer would be great. Do you have Racetime2? Do you use either for ski races?

thanks,

KZ

We do not have one. We are assisting one of our local race coaches connect his to Split Second on October 16th. We should know more about the unit at that time.

FKP -- 10/16? Oh, I think that's us. I also coach with Klaus Buchegger. Are you the vendor for Microgate?

Thanks,

Kurt

FKP -- I spoke to Geoff at split second timing about connection issues I'm having w/ Racetime2 and splitsecond. He indicated that he recalled configuring his software for REI2 but not Racetime2. He indicated that Splitsec was not recognizing the data coming in from the timer.

Assuming we get all this working, do you have a price sheet for additional Microgate products? Specifically, do you know how much the Linkgate software costs? thx, KZ

The RaceTime 2 is listed on the Split Second list of timers. The only way to truly tell if it works is by experimenting. This is why we agreed to have your group come to our shop. We will be able to set up a complete simulation with known SST timers and then add yours.

Fred -- Thanks so much for the great training on our Microgate system and interfacing it w/ SplitSecond.

You were right, the using our timer with SplitSecond is a breeze. We've showed our new timing crew how to use it and they're getting up to speed.

Klaus and I really appreciate the time you took with us and look forward to working w/ PST in the future. Kurt, Liberty Mtn. Racing Team, PA.
