The Diablo Freeride Park 48Straight edition of the tour has concluded. AMB Activ was used side by side with a FinishLynx Pro camera in a dual slalom differential format. The differential times collected by the transponders were compared with the Lynx photo data and the differential results were always within .01 seconds of each other, if not in exact agreement. The difference is mostly attributable to cursor placement and analyzing the photos in bright sunlight. AMB still lays down the finest accuracy of transponders even though their customers service skills are lacking. Lynx is still the BOMB when it comes to a professional timing tool. The integrated differential transponder software was developed for 48STRAIGHT by Ed Neu of Weirdware and George Mehr of FLS ACTII.
You can see the transponders on the left hand fork stanchion for each rider on the photo I posted with the initial posting. The TX's were all mounted in the same location on the bicycle.
