Last weekend, at FIS World Cup in Lake Louise, Ted Savage of Precision Timing Int'l was presented with Canada's most prestigious ski racing honor, the Winterstart Award.

The Winterstart Award is given annually to recognize the Canadian who contributes the most time and effort to Canadian ski racing and to helping Canada's alpine ski team win. Ted has been the director of Canada's FIS TD program for over a decade, has been a member of the FIS Timing Working Group which sets standards for fairness in electronic timing, and has donated huge amounts of expertise, consulting, and timing / display equipment to Canada's NorAm development program.
