We ran races over the weekend using an ALGE TDC8001... running into Split Second software.

On SAT it seemed to do the flip OK

On SUN the TDC8001 would NOY bring up the correct Bibs.

We ran the girls in Race 1 and the guys in Race 2 ( it was a J1-2 race )

When we got to the guys... I watched as he changed the race number and alnswered ALL the questions slowly and correctly... flipping 30.

We even printed out a start list... which was good.

BUT when we started... the 2nd racer was NOT who we were expecting... and by the time we reached racer 5... the SAME Incorrect Bib number kept coming up... And in the girls... the incorrect bib number was a guys BIB.

Any ideas what happened ?? Ken

We can simulate this with an 8001 here in the shop. Results later today.

We have just finished a complete simulation with a TDC 8001. Firmware version ENG V 05.62

There were no abnormal issues. We ran a RACE 1 with 75 racers, 1 tie in the top 30 first run, 2 DNFs, 4 DQs. We ran RACE 2 with 70 racers, 2 DNFs, No DQs, No ties

Turned off and resynced machine.

Printed start list for RACE 1, second run.

Ran RACE 1

No issues

Changed race without resyncing

Printed start list for RACE 2, second run

Ran RACE 2, second run

No issues

Total elapsed time of simulation 2 1/2 hours. Nothing abnormal or troubling occurred.

The starts and finishes were generated using randomly started STB1 start beeps with buttons paralleled. Buttons were pushed to assist with randomness.

Each run was 25 to 75 seconds long.

Ken--when you do your first run--in the header is set to 15 top seed.(USUALLY)

If you need to do a bibo on 30 for the second run, you need to change the seed to 30.

Just another thing to remember about SS.

We received the 2nd TDC8001 from Fred and used it this past weekend for 3 Eastern Cup races. NO issues what-so-ever. 100% with Split Second and it flipped the second run exactly as it should.

The first system is going back to see the Dr.

I ran both the ALGE and Split Second and had NO issues or problems
