Getting to be that time again... North America FIS TD Updates are in East and West again. West is in Whistler BC on October 23-25. I am not sure about the East Update, Fred and Jenna go to that one.

Rocky Mountain Officials Clinics and USSA TD Updates are as follows

USSA TD Update November 7, Summit County CO
RMSRO Officials Clinics November 13-15, Summit County CO

Keep yourself current on rule changes and get yourself to an update clinic! Please visit your divisional websites for information on clinics and updates in your area. Thanks for being a ski race official!

Phoenix Sports will be at the annual VARA timing and software clinic at the Killington training center on Oct 25th.

We will be fully equipped to work with your TIMY USB interface with the new Split Second updates.

Bring your TIMY timers and notebooks to the clinic.

VARA Race Organizer Clinic, OCT 25
Killington Ski Club 9am-3pm $25 pp
(All clubs hosting a USSA/Vara event must send an RA)
for Timing and Calc info, Ussa forms and documents, Results processing, Website, Officials info.
Additional topics: Putting together the best jury that can be mustered. Team captain's meeting before the start of the race. Putting together Jury Minutes saying that there was a team captains meeting and the jury approved the course. Creating a signed TD report. Doing accident reports just like race for older kids. Doing an official results packet that they should be kept on file. Sending electronic results into USSA. Consistency for sending results for non-scored races.

2009 - 2010 season NHARA Timing & Officials’ Clinics

At Foster’s Common Man Inn,
231 Main Street, Plymouth, NH Exit 26 from I-93.

CLINICS:

Level 0 Timing: The timing rules without the math. AM only.
Level 1 Timing: Clinic and rules, and the test (one prerequisite) for Level 1 T&C certification. All day.
Level 2 Timing: Update and higher level issues. AM only.
Level 3 Timing: Clinic and the test (one prerequisite) for L3 T&C certification. All day.

Chief of Race clinic and the test (one prerequisite) for CR certification. PM only.
Competition Official's clinic. PM only.

Schedule: 8:30 am Registration
9:00 am - T&C Levels 0, 1, 2 and 3 Clinics.
12:30 pm - Alpine Officials’ Clinics:

Note: effective with the 2010-2011 season officials certified for T&C, CR, CC, and RA will be required to attend an update/clinic every two years in order to maintain their certification.

Please pre-register for the clinic (s) of choice with Laura Sullivan
at 413-634-0110 or uskram@aol.com . Include name, USSA
number, email address, mt. affiliation and clinic(s) attending. Bring
Comp Guide, calculator and applicable study guides. Fee: $10 for
the first clinic, $5 for additional.
