Nastar is up and running on Polar Bear for 2004. We have had 3 races so far. We have a new timing building at the top of the run. Registration, timing, scoring, results, and medals are all handled at the start. The finish has a PST Bib Medal Time NASTAR display and sound system. We have a metal start ramp system for skiers and riders. Pictures to follow.

Timing and scoring counter with full view of all racing trails from a center hill perspective. We have 2" conduit run to 3 start lines and 2 finish lines.
Just wanted to pass this along and thank you for your help this year!

I want to tell everyone at Bear Creek what a great job you did this year. The new facility is wonderful and the mountain conditions and programs were great. I hadn’t been to Bear Creek since it was Doe Mountain and I was pleasantly surprised by the great changes. I had the pleasure of being there on your opening day and it was great and just kept getting better. Your restaurant and bar are great and I love the no smoking in the bar! Also, the staff at Bear Creek is genuinely nice and friendly. I have yet to meet anyone there who seems like they are anything less than happy with their job!
As far as the skiing goes, I discovered and fell in love with NASTAR racing at Bear Creek. I made it four times this year (so far) and next year I plan on doing it every week. I’ve managed to drag along a few friends and they also loved it. The crew that runs that program deserves a lot of credit, they make every racer feel like it’s their mountain. Don’t ever consider getting rid of Nastar, it keeps me coming back on those weeknights it runs.
Hope you stay open till April!
