I'm new to Split Second software this season and have spent 3 days working with it during competitions. At this point, the only small issue I haven't sorted out is how the software handles "DNS" competitors at the start.

What I have found is that if a competitor is a "no show" and we skip to the next competitor in the start order, the software continues to auto-advance to the next competitor in the start order for about 5-6 racers, then seems to hunt for the DNS competitor again, placing his bib number into the start gate window.

Then, when we over-write the DNS bib number with the next competitor to start, after that competitor starts, the software reloads a racer who has already started and we have to over-write again. This continues for 3-4 racers, until the software catches on that we've resumed the planned start order. But, after another while, the software will put the DNS racer back into the start again and the whole process repeats!

Anyone else having this issue? Geoff: how is the software programmed to handle DNS competitors?

Steve H,

We have seen this, not exactly as you describe, but similar. I will be looking for a response.
