Dongle was not recognized by Skunkware and I had to download the drivers from the dongle company to get the software to work. Here is a What James' has said from way below in this forum. Works great once configured properly
"You can download the current drivers from www.rainbow.com. Click DOWNLOADS and you will see a link for "Current System Drivers". The installation program will auto-detect your flavor of Windows and install itself. " Originally posted 14 Jan 2002 by Jim Karnes |

Thanks for posting that info, Jim. Your inquiry was brought on by your purchase of a new PC with Windows XP pre-installed, which would not recognize the dongle. The 32-bit flavors of Windows (NT, 2000, and XP) do not recognize dongles without a software driver, since direct access to the hardware has been taken away from programmers' control. I try to encourage Skunkware customers to stay away from the older 16-bit versions of Windows (95,98, 98SE, Millenium) because they're way too unstable to run mission-critical applications.
If you've UPGRADED to XP without a fresh install, you will have to UNINSTALL your dongle drivers (START - SETTINGS - ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS) and install the latest drivers with the version that supports XP (version 59.3.2). Rainbow has very good software engineering, and I have yet to encounter a problem with their drivers or with their dongles. G'Day from the Australian Open.
