I am running two ALGE GAZ displays with Split Second software and an S4 as the timer. We have difficulties getting the displays to show running time with the dual selection (2 &4). The displays show the finish time just fine. We do get running time with a single display. Any ideas?

Everything you describe is a software issue. I know that different Split Second programs send different data to the displays. The USSA/FIS program is strictly set up to use a single GAZ on rotary dial 0/ toggle in the middle for running time. The bib and rank are handled by another GAZ paralled with the first with rotary 0/ toggle
up. The NASTAR software can either address a single display( 0/middle) or two displays (2&4 for red/blue) or the Phoenix "A" that shows bib/ medal/ time for two courses.

I suspect that the single display option in NASTAR and Club uses the same components in the software as the USSA and that is why running time appears. The dual selection uses a different component and therefore acts differently. I will try to check it out and report further.

Otherwise just write down the characteristics of each selection so you won't get concerned. In general I have found that if the "test scoreboard" selection works as it is displayed on the screen, the times will get displayed to the best of that softwares ability.
