Try to resist the urge to load every program you own onto the NASTAR notebook. You will have enough to do just getting all the timing and scoring elements working. The only other program you need in a timing PC is excel97. DO NOT USE excel2000 as it is loaded with all sorts of extra crap you do not need.

Really it doesn't matter how much is on the hard drive, but the Nastar software is fairly memory hungry so try not to have other programs running when you start or while using the software. If you get an error when starting the Nastar software it's probably because there aren't enough resources available. Close programs like Word and try again...
