Ran a race this past weekend and dusted off a old alge SB our team has. During the race we would lose the 100th of seconds for some racers finish times, but not always.

The second issue is we tried to hook this up to a areocom wireless serial port and could not get the SB to work yet the data was being transmitted and could be seen in hyperterm on another labtop Any ideas

I would make sure that the display works hardwired first before trying to use any wireless transmission devices.

Post a picture of the board or describe it better so that we can guide you. There are 4 versions of ALGE displays from the 70's to present.

If the display is really old you need to try the "alternate format" option in Split Second.

hardwired the scoreboard only had the intermitant drop of the 10ths Worked pretty well the rest of time

The wireless problem was found during testing on the bench and not on the hill

Will get further info on vintage It is old enough to require the alternate setup in splitsecond
