Fred, I took a look at the veloware on your website. This appears to be designed for time trials and velodrome racing. Can it also be applied to mtb racing? If not can you make a recommendation or tell me waht the gang at Finish Line uses? Jeff

We have a product called TT*Ware that has been developed for road time trials, mt bike cross country, mt bike downhill, etc. It is a single lane program that allows the import of start lists with start times. You then have the option of using the assigned start times or having them overwritten by a start pulse. The finish operation allows ID prior to or after the line. A very powerful member of the mighty Skunkware family. You can time dual slalom with Fiddleware. Bob Duppstadt of Millenium Sports uses TT*Ware for all his MTB events. Finish Line uses their own software for cross country and a version of Fiddleware for duals.

Fiddleware is available as a free download from the PST site www.phoenix-sports.com

Responding to customer demand, a wave start / mass start feature was added to TT*Ware in June '02.

Phoenix customers are finding that TT*Ware, although originally designed for the Time Trial stages in Le Tour de France (hence the name TT), suits a wide variety of racing - including sailboats, mtn bikes, X-C, and adventure racing.

Special thanks to Bob Duppstadt and Randy Bachtell for their continued feedback. big grin

The mass start feature is a time saver fir MTB cross country races. It is a little faster than having the times in your comma delimited file. The key features for staying on top of an XC race with a few hundred riders are the is the F5 function that allows you to find a bib quickly, and then just click and slide the finish time from the data log to the competitor's record. This allows you to catch up with finishes when you get a flurry of finishers. We rarely fall behind for mor ethan a few riders. The only thing that causes a little delay is the fact that the datalog drops to the most recent finish every time someone creates an impulse. It is best to let the group of riders get through the finish and then click and slide the times to the appropriate riders.

The TT*ware works great. We have done several events with 400 riders plus. The print feature allows you to print results quickly...and it creates HTML files that allow for immediate web site posting.
