Many of you may have seen the newly-finalized FEI showjumping rules mandating Net timing in Time-Of-Day using FEI-homologated equipment.

The new FEI rules effectively ban (for FEI classes) the use of stopwatches and firmware-based stopwatch emulators such as the Farmtek Polaris and the Alge S4 (in program 2 - showjumping). Time bases must now operate in Time-Of-Day and have dedicated printers.
Broder's Skunkware announces SJTOD, a completely new suite of showjumping timing programs conforming to the 2007 FEI Showjumping timing rules mandating timing in Time-Of-Day.
SJTOD is based on DTK, Skunkware's ski racing timing software used at top FIS World Cup races such as the Kitzbuehel Hahnenkamm-Rennen and WinterStart Lake Louise, and on TTWare, Skunkware's general-purpose timing software used at top cycling, sailing, and multi-sport races such as Amgen Tour of California.

As of today (May '07), SJTOD supports only Alge Time bases (TDC8001, Timy, S4) in Backup/Hour-Print Mode. More time bases will be added according to customer demand. SJTOD makes a particularly clean package when bundled with the Timy, which has several unique features making it superior for SJ timing, so the recommended hardware for SJTOD is the Alge Timy.
No Alge devices yet appear on the FEI's homologated list, but all have been submitted, and approval is pending.
SJTOD also supports multiple languages and has limited Unicode support.
