Hi,

We have a Tag Heuer Chronoprinter 705 timer with a failed printer. Does anyone know of any way to hook up an external printer to this unit and configure it so that we can get manually printed timing results directly from the timer?

Thanks,
Roland

In theory you can connect a serial printer such as a SEIKO DPU414 in line with the PC output. The printer needs to be able to force line feeds as we are not sure that the TAG outputs them in the string.

We have a 705 here at the shop and might have time to play with it this coming week.

The SEIKO printer used in the 705 has slightly modified cables to prevent you from buying an off the shelf replacement printer.

Your TAG dealer can send your unit back to Switzerland to have the printer replaced of course.
