Does anyone have experience getting a TAG 705 to communicate to GAZc scoreboard? I beleive it has to do with the different bit-rates. Is there software which can deal with this?

Your Tag CP 705 outputs at 9600 baud rate, therefore you GAZ display has to be set at 9600. There is no software that can adjust for the different baud rate. If your GAZ has a switch for baud rate then you can use it. If you have no baud rate switch you can have one installed by your ALGE supplier.

Thank you for the clarification. I'll get to work on having the switch installed. Do you know if Phoenix provides this service?

We just returned from the World Cycling Championships. The GAZ display in controlled by a main circuit board that can be modified by the ALGE factory to accept 9600 baud. We can install these in any GAZc to GAZ4 display. Older GAZc displays need to be sent back as there is some metal work involved in allowing the case to accept the new circuit board. There is a summary of making the display work once modified elsewhere in the forum. Users of Split Second software do not need to have their displays modified. This is only if you want to drive a GAZ direct from the TAG 705. Also make sure that you check with TAG before you update your Flash Memory. It is possible that newer versions of the TAG 705 software will not support ALGE displays.
