PTB PRINTER PORT SEIKO DPU 411 Printer Cable: Cable: DB9-M DB25-M -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- Pin Pin 2 Data Out (Tx) 2 Data in 5 Ground 1 Ground 8 DTR (Data Terminal Ready) 5 Busy 6 jump to 20 Note: Configure dip switches on Seiko DPU 411 for serial operation at 9600 Baud SW1 SW2 1 off 1 on 2 on 2 on 3 on 3 on 4 on 4 off 5 off 5 off 6 off 6 off 7 on 8 on NOTE: The Seiko DPU will go wacky once turned on. This is because it is trying to print the little TAG logo and cannot. Turn it off and on again and it should work. The Seiko DPU 411 is not made anymore. It was superceded by the 414 in 1998. The SEIKO DPU411 printers we bought over the summer work with the TAG 605. You have to set them for 9600,N,8,1:
1) Turn on, press on line button 2) Turn it off when it starts to print (trying to print TAG logo) 3) Turn on, press on line button 4) Ready when memory message prints after Japanese characters |
