Do not try to connect TIMY timers to your PC running software with the USB cable. It will not work with most timing software such as Split Second.
You need to use either: Docking station with a serial port (9 pin male) PCMCIA card to serial port USB to serial adapter Remember that you need a discrete serial port for every task. Most systems need 2. One for timer>PC and one for PC>display. If Windows Device manager cannot list the port it doesn't exist. Be advised that USB>Serial adapters assign themselves COM 4 and above. COM 2 and or 3 are reserved for infrared ports etc. and are not usable. You have to download the current driver for your operating system and try again. You may also need a USB hub if you go that way. USB devices you might need to think about USB printer USB software dongle USB TIMY>PC USB PC>Display USB flash drive The ALGE USB flash updater software does work fine. This message has been edited.
