I plugged in my headsets for a race this morning and the S4 started beepeing. It was not giving me a start or finish with the heasets plugged it was just beeping. We unplugged the headsets and the problem went away. Wires from top to bottom were fine. What might be the cause of this?

Pull the chrome din plug covers back and look for loose wires that could short out on the metal cover. There would have to be a short between a signal line and ground to make the timer beep like that. We will have to try to simulate that occurrence in the shop tomorrow.
