We put the TED in Program 1 (located on the bottom with the small screwdriver). As long as the FinishLynx is sending the proper Alge protocoll, all will be good. If they are not sending a perfect protocoll, you should then switch to program 6 (or always on); this is what eats batteries.

Any Alge device will switch the TED in Program 0 (impulse mode) to data and transfer serial data as well. Not necessary to switch to Program 1. When using software to drive a display, we find you always need to use program 1.
