I have been having problems with our RadioLynx system even though the settings are all correct (at least to my knowledge they are). But I was looking at the connection box and the serial port that the radiolynx connects to has the number three pin lower than the others.
I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if this is normal or not. thanks, I have attached a pic (kinda blurry) that you can kinda make out what I'm talking about. untitled.JPG (24 Kb, 30 downloads) lowered pin |

The "3" pin is generally the out of the computer, so it is either "out" or "in" from this box, depending on how finish lynx decided to built the box and whether you are using a straight through or crossover cable.
Based on the picture (it is very blury) I doubt that pin is connecting when you plug a cable in, so I would carefully bend it back, plug a cable in, and see if it works. In the worst case scenario, you can buy a new jack from your local electronics store and replace that jack with just a little but of soldiering. Good luck, Jenna |

Pin "3" on the FinishLynx C-box is used with our Chronomix scoreboards as well as with our Gill Wind gauges. Follow Jenna's suggestion to repair that faulty pin connection. -- Justin
