Hello All,

The Omega photo-finish camera is broken here and the Speed Skating federation want to use our FinnishLynx Camera.

How connect their Omega Start Time to the C-BOX. I have all Amphenol connector and the XLR to connect from the box to the C-Box.

What Pins to connect witch cable ?
Open or Close circuit ?

Thank All

Sylvain,

Please find enclosed a diagram explaining how to connect the two.

Remember that it doesn't matter whether the system is NO or NC, however it needs to be set on both the StartTime and the Lynx system. I would personally use NC in order to be able to detect when the start system is not connected.

Please let me know if you need anything further.

Regards,
George.

Hi Georges,

on your diagram, from Omega, Pin 2 and 3 works, but on Finish Lynx, You pin number are wrong...

Look these website : http://www.finishlynx.com/support/technotes/start.htm

I connect and test the system on pin 1 and 3 but from the pictures from the lynx website, not from your diagram (your pin number are wrong). I test it this morning and it works.

Thank you so much for the information for the pins 2 and 3 from Omega.

Sylvain,

Thanks, in my excitement to get the diagram drawn for you I misread the pin assignments from the same tech note you mention.

I have updated the picture in my previous post and it can be downloaded again from there by all for future reference.

Regards,
George.
