Osterreich Radio Funk actually are completely full of s**t. The temp is -1.6C and we got only 3cm snow. I guess they are lying to try to drum up interest in the race, as normally packed Kitzbuehel is currently a ghost town. ORF are the Fox Network of Europe, they are probably the most incompetent network I've encountered among the 180 or so national broadcasters I've worked with over the years.

In general, most of these old state-owned networks are hopeless, and ORF is no exception.

BUT....there are some smiles to be seen now, as it appears the sub-zero temps will be here through the weekend and the KSC are blowing snow.

At least you can no longer see the bunkers on the golf course near the finish line of the race course.

Still glad I cancelled - altho walking in town is probably a pleasure - you do not have to step over the bodies - and you can actually get into the Londoner

We missed you at the Londoner. We actually got in most nights, except Friday. I strolled around late on Saturday night (like 2am) and I was surprised at how calm the village was.
